Uee in Singapore UW Magazine talking about her being the next drama queen which the dramas she acted on Ojakgyo Brothers had over 20% viewer ratings for the first four episodes and talking about the delayed drama Birdie Buddy.

Two years ago, the villain second lead female actress, U-ie, member of a Korean Girl Group ( 23 years old, member of girl group “ After School”), recently took the role of the lead actress in two new dramas, ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’ (KBS) and ‘Birdie Buddy’ (tvN), with the former drama achieving over 20% of viewership in just four episodes.

At the beginning of the month, in KBS’s Entertainment Relay, U-ie’s rank in “Idol actor/actress” is commendable, which falls behind Park Yoochun (JYJ), 2nd place of Eunjung and Jiyeon (T-ara), Taecyeon (2PM), YoonA (SNSD) and Jung Yong Hwa (C.N. Blue). Another idol who made it into the chart is Suzy (Miss A) at 7th place.

Will the viewers and judges be giving higher compliments to her after these 2 new dramas have been broadcast? Previously, as golf being the topic of the drama, ‘Birdie Buddy’ is supposed to be the continuation of MBC’s ‘Queen of Reversals’ last year. However MBC decided not to air this drama because it’s unsuitable for broadcasting, which ended up in cable tv channel, tvN.

Coincidentally, ’Birdie Buddy’, which warped up its filming last year, was being aired two days after U-ie’s new drama, ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’. Other than that, both dramas are still able to garner high viewership on their respective channels. ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’ has even recorded viewership of 18.7% and 21.1%, sitting at the 3rd place of dramas in August. (omitted non-relavant parts to birdie buddy or Ojakgyo brothers) ‘Birdie Buddy’s viewership even reaches over 1% on paid channel.

With U-ie’s excellent performance in ` Ojakgyo Brothers’, and the admirable spirit from viewers with co-actor, Joo Woon, plus similarity in the story plot with two years ago, 1st place drama ‘The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House’, which surrounds four brothers in a family. Therefore, viewership for ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’ is estimated to rise further, and might be the 1st Korean drama to achieve over 40% of viewership this year
